What is actually included in an exhibition stand package? +
A package covers the structure and the printed graphics as a matched set — frame, connectors, fabric and carry bags — so you are not assembling a specification from individual parts. What varies between kits is the extras: counters, screen brackets, shelving and lighting are included in some and optional on others. Read the inclusions on the individual product page, and if something is not listed, ask us at support@backdropsource.co.uk rather than assuming it is in the box.
Horseshoe arch, L arch or U shaped — which layout suits which job? +
The Modular Horseshoe Arch Exhibition Kit wraps around you, which focuses attention inward and suits product display. The Modular L Arch TV Display Exhibition Kit leaves one side open and gives a natural home for a screen, which works well on a corner plot. The Modular U Shaped Exhibition Kit encloses the most, creating a semi-private area for longer conversations at the cost of open frontage. Choose by which side your visitors arrive from and how long you want them to stay.
What do the Premium kits add over the standard version? +
The premium options in this range build on the standard equivalent with additional structure or display features rather than being a different material grade. Because the difference varies by kit, compare the specifications on the two product pages side by side — for example the Premium Modular L Arch TV Display Exhibition Kit against the standard L Arch version. Tell us what you need the stand to do and we will say honestly whether the upgrade earns its place.
Can I start with a 3m kit and expand to a larger stand later? +
That is the main advantage of buying modular. Staying within one system means later purchases connect to what you already own, so a 3m wide kit can grow towards a six-metre layout such as the 6m Straight Backdrop with Shelf Exhibition Kit without replacing the frame. Keep the original parts list and packaging labels so the extension order matches, and check with us before buying that the components are compatible with the exact kit you own.
Do I need new graphics for every exhibition? +
Not if you plan for it. The frame is the expensive, long-lived part; the fabric is the consumable. Design your main panels around your brand and proposition so they last several seasons, and put event names, dates and campaign messaging on a separate small panel that can be reprinted cheaply. That single decision saves more over a few years than almost any other choice, and our artwork assistance is free either way.
What should I check before mounting a screen on a TV display kit? +
Check the bracket, not just the frame. Confirm the bracket's mounting pattern matches your screen and that the kit supports the screen's weight and size before you buy a large panel, because an oversized television on a lightweight frame is both unstable and unsightly. Plan where power and HDMI will run so cables are not visible across the graphic, and set the screen so its centre sits near standing eye level rather than as high as it will go.
What happens if a part is damaged or lost? +
Every kit carries a 1-year product warranty on the product itself. In practice the parts that go missing are the small ones — connectors, feet, clamps and bag fittings — rather than frame sections, so count them back into labelled bags at breakdown rather than discovering the gap at the next show. Keep your order reference and parts list, as replacements are far quicker to supply when we can identify the exact component from the original order.
Where should I have the kit delivered? +
To your own premises, not the venue. UK delivery is free, and having the kit in advance lets you check the graphics against your approved proof, count the components and dry-build the stand once before anyone is under time pressure in a hall like SEC Glasgow. Most venues only accept goods within a narrow window during build-up and will not hold deliveries, so sending a package straight to the show is a risk with no upside.
